RMLL evaluations for Minors and Majors will be held on March 3 and 9, 2024 at the Duvernay Fieldhouse, which is located at 256 Don Seaman Way in Okotoks. We realize that this may mean 30 to 40 minutes travel time each way for some of our members to get to the sessions, but we believe this is more than offset by the quality of the facility and the coaches involved in running the sessions.

The Duvernay Fieldhouse, a complete full service facility designed specifically as an indoor training centre for baseball, is located next to Seaman Stadium and is operated by the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club.

Evaluations Are Mandatory

• All players in the Minors, Majors and Teenage Divisions, even returning players, must attend ONE evaluation session in order to be placed on a team.
• Players in these age groups who do not attend an evaluation session will be moved to a waitlist, and we will determine if a spot is available for them as the teams are formed.

Pre-Registration is Required

To reduce wait times parents must register their child to attend an evaluation session on a specific day and time based on their age/division. Space will be limited in each session.

RBSR Age Players Who Want to Try Out for Minors

• Players who are league age 8 and want to try out for a spot in the Minors division can attend Minors evaluations but are not guaranteed to be placed on a Minors team.
• Approval to play in the Minors division will be based on evaluation results and registration numbers, and is at the sole discretion of the league player agent.

Minors Age Players Who Want to Try Out for Majors

• Players who are league age 10 and want to try out for a spot on a Majors division team must attend a Minors AND a Majors tryout session.
• These can be done on the same day, but players must register for an evaluation time slot in each division.
• Approval to play in the Majors division will be based on evaluation results and registration numbers, and is at the sole discretion of the league player agent.

Other Details

Players should:

• Wear clean turf shoes or runners
• Wear athletic clothing or baseball pants
• Bring their baseball glove
• Bring their own batting helmet
• Bring a water bottle

Please be at the Duvernay Fieldhouse 10 minutes prior to the start of your evaluation session so that the players can be registered, assigned a tryout number and get started on time.
