Hitting/Defense Sessions -

Train one day per week through January and February as you prepare for the start of the season. This program will cover all the baseball fundamentals including hitting, defense, throwing mechanics, pitching, and receiving (catching skills at all positions).

Our focus with all young athletes is to instill greater self- confidence on and off the field. Diamondawgs facilitates that through athletic development in their baseball skills, but also by creating a teaching progression to challenge athletes with different experience levels and periodic testing to show progress. At this age group, having the confidence to hit, catch, throw and field is paramount to their athletic success and long-term involvement in the game.

Other information about this Diamondawgs camp:

- This program is for select RMLL players age 9-10 years (Minors player for the 2024 baseball season)

- Registration LIMITED to 25 athletes with low coach to player ratio

- Sessions planned and led by Diamondawgs coaches with assistance from RMLL

Arm Strength, Recovery, and Mound Work

As a pitcher you will:

-Have a consistent throwing program each week that will include arm strength & recovery exercises and a proper warm up.

-Have a pitching coach work with you on the mound to provide feedback on mechanics, repeatability, and developing the changeup.

Each 45 minute session will include three stations:

1. Dynamic Warm Up and Shoulder Prep

2. Long Toss & Pitch Development (grips, release, etc)

3. Mound Work

*Pitchers will be able to sign up to train in a small group for 45 minutes between 11:00am and 12:15pm*

Catcher Sessions -

This clinic is for Little League catchers of all ability levels who will play Minors in the 2024 season.

Many players have a desire to catch, but have not had the chance to learn the skills required to excel behind the plate. During the season it can be difficult for head coaches to truly develop catchers and games can get frustrating for young catchers who have a passion, but don't have any experience. This clinic will focus on developing the basics of the various stances, receiving mechanics, and blocking technique.

Each session will start with group instruction while the first group of pitchers warm up. Then catchers will move into stations to work on receiving, blocking, throwing mechanics, and live work as they catch the pitchers during bullpens.
